Default beadlock question

Hey guys, i bought some second handmetal beadlocks that came premounted with some rc4wd tires. They are the first beadlocks I've had and I've got a question.

If i squeeze the tire it stays deflated and sucked in. Do i need to put a hole in the tire or the wheel to allow the air back in so they reinflate and stay round.
As they are they like cave in when compressed.

Cheers!

A few holes in the tires works well, have you got foams as well?

They have foams in them, not sure what sort yet as i haven't pulled the tires apart. That's the first job for the morning, I'm assuming its just the stock foams that came with the rc4wd tires that are mounted.

If i put holes in them will it ruin the foams if i drive in water? I've got a great spot five minutes walk from home and it has a few creek crossings which i love doing

Nope, you need the holes to evacuate the water. I fine it useful to give the truck a good blast at top speed after going in water, that'll force the moisture out

Worth mentioning that drilling holes isn't a great idea... Ideally you want something like a leather punch so there's no frayed edges to potentially catch and tear... Search "tyre venting" there's plenty of lively discussion on the subject here.

Ditto on the leather punch! If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, they have them for like $15. That's where I scored mine. Plus, it had a rotary head with I think 5 or 6 different punch sizes as I recall.
