... Ah, you guys are the best.

I just completed my shakedown run of an Ascender with your Brass Knuckles and Pro C-Hubs! Great stuff...

BTW - I have a request for consideration for a future product - 1.7" wheels.

Ideally Steel Trail, 2nd choice Steel D-Hole...

Would love to see options of different colored ring for these wheels. There are alot of people that have been waiting looooong time for this wheel design!

You guys rock!

I personally would love to see the bright Green rings for a Campbell based build.

I recently purchased a set of 2.2 SSD bead lock wheels and while I really like the quality and style, there is a functional problem with them which renders them virtually useless, namely the DelrinŽ center spacer. DelrinŽ acetal resin is a wear-resistant material that has a naturally slippery surface. Also known as acetal homopolymer, it resists moisture and has the ability to hold tight machining tolerances. Now I can understand selecting this material from a manufacturing stand point since it is easy to machine. However, from a functional stand point the naturally slippery surface is problematic and allows my CI double deuce foams to slip from side to side far too easily. I have basically been forced to mount the SSD wheels on one of my shelf queens due to the fact that my CI foams simply will not stay in place while crawling. If these center spacers were machined from alulminum and/or if they had some grooves or ribs or side shoulders machined into the OD to give the foams something to grip or hold the foams centered that would help. As they are, they look pretty but they are not very functional.

We've heard that complaint about Incision wheels before, too... CI foams have a harder closed cell inner surface that is trimmed/shaped to a certain width - harder to make wheels that will hold them in place if the width is noticeably different than the foam. Stock foams are compressed more at the rim, preventing shifting. Also, different width tires will sometimes hold the tire in place better. I'd like to see some width options for the center closed cell section from CI themselves. I'm pretty sure they stated something relatively recently that they reshaped their inner "shoulder" edges on their foams...

Our wheels are very functional. This sounds more like a specific issue with a specific foam. The foam should not need aluminum rings to work. They should work on any wheels/material.
The acetol ring is used to save weight really. I doubt using an aluminum ring will make much difference as they would be machined pretty smooth also.

Incision wheels have an aluminum locking ring right?

I use a single 3/4" wide rubber band on all my smooth ring wheels. This holds the foams in place perfectly. They only cost a couple dollars for 50 or so and you can find them at Staples, Office Depot or ULine.

They do, mine have CI DD 5.5 Comp Cut foams and stock Axial R35 kit BFG tires, but... I have not driven on them yet. I just remember someone posting about the CI foams slipping on them.

I used some silicone, on the inner ring to foam connection... I have had zero issues.
