Had these wheels been out 2 weeks ago, I would have snatched up 3 pairs. Instead went CI 6bolts. Are there other plastic headlock options available with the adjustable hub design? Not that I saw. Those Axial and Gmade plastic beadlocks are all fixed hex.

As for the price of the shocks, I was expecting $39.99 when I first saw them. However Proline shocks are $50 a pair as well.

Shocks are like no other thing IMO. They're either good or they are junk. You better be sure you aren't bringing the junk.

BTW - I have a sweet set of 2.2 plastic (Delrin) beadlocks... and also a set of 4 aluminum outer rings to swap out... various adjustable hub sizes available and you can run them inside out for different offset...
(not cheap, though!)

They look good. What's the OD of the shock body since Vanquish isn't telling?

I hope they offer them in other colors at some point.

That wasn't all that long ago in the Clone wheel thread.

As I see it the current situation is the chief justification is US designed, overseas manufactured make this ok. Well clone wheels are US designed but overseas manufactured, so they now must no longer be crap.

Personally I don't think their customer service justifies the current pricing on a foreign produced part.

For those of you that have never dealt with products overseas here is what often happens. A product is spec'd out and the manufacture does a wonderful job producing it at your spec's. Your happy your customers are happy. As time goes by the manufacture starts looking to increase there margins, they start changing little thing. Things like the type of glue or the quality of the metal or plastic.

The product still look the same, but little by little the spec is changed. The result is sometimes not immediately noticeable and is undetectable until sometime down the road failure occur. The once dependable brand becomes tarnished.

When this Incision line was launch it was pretty clear to me that it was a business decision to us the VP brand power to appeal to a different market and at the same time separate the two brands.

By doing this they can still produce the high quality, high priced American made line of products, but capture low price point markets without damaging the premium brand.

Otherwise why even bother have separate brands.

Anyone who thinks that the quality of Incision will remain the same as VP hasn't though this through.

Think of it this way, all the American stuff gets handle by company staff concerned about QC/QA. The Incision stuff is either coming in bulk and being assembled in the USA, or already package.

Either option either reduces the amount or eliminates although the opportunity to visually inspect the product.

I continue to see that argument on this site and it's silly.

1. Both are outsourced suppliers.
2. Both will produce products to the quality you pay for. Is everything from Taiwan high quality? Of course not. Will China produce crap? Sure. But China can and does produce high quality products. The iPhone, which most consider the flagship smartphone, mostly comes from China.
3. Modern day China isn't what it was 5 or 10 years ago.
4. It's up to the customer, in this case Vanquish, to keep an eye on the quality control of the outsourced supplier.

I'm not arguing. I'm correcting someone who thinks Taiwan is the same as China. It's not, especially to anyone from Taiwan.
