Default Beadlock suggestion for Axial SCX102

Hi All,
My name is John...new here. New to crawling but not RC. Question guys. Can you suggest a set of beadlocks that will work with the stock tires on the SCX2. I am reading lots of reviews and watching videos...but honestly I am more confused at this point.
RC4WD looks good...good price for 4...but they seems super tricky to install. SSD looks great, but super $$.
Any help would be great.
Cheers
John

I have a couple sets of RC4WD beadlocks. The first set was very difficult to install 1.9" Pitbull Rock Beast 2 tires on. The second set wasn't as bad with 1.55" Pitbull Growlers. That set of wheels did come with 2 longer screws, though. You use the longer screws to start the installation, then swap them out once you get the other screws tightened down. I also like the G-Made metal beadlocks. They're priced well, and they were a little bit easier to assemble with 1.9" Rock Beast 2s.

Thanks Aver! I will look at these. Do you know if your suggestions will work with the stock Axial scx102 tires. They are replicas of BFGoodrich All Terrian T/A.
Cheers

Once you deglue the stock tire they will fit any beadlock you choose as long as the bead is intact.

How about $36 for a set of 4 metal beadlocks with tires included? Plastic (which I prefer to keep weight down and not break things) run about $24 with fake Super Swamper tires, or $12 without. I run one set of all plastic and one with just metal rings.

GMade plastic or metal beadlocks work well and are good prices.

Chinese vanquish clones. As good as the original but at 1/4 the price.

The wheels I got mostly got the nod because they were cheap and "Prime-able".

Also... With RC4WD wheels, don't you need an adapter for 12mm hex use?

My 1.55" wagon wheels use 12mm hexes.

My 1.9" wagon wheels use the pin mount.

I love my steel SSD beadlocks. They're cheaper that the aluminum ones and super easy to mount.

Some do and some don't, have to read the wheel description which they come with.

I tried a set of them a few years ago. Shredded them fairly quickly. I remeber them being inexpensive with a decent appearance. Hope you have better luck then I did.

I run them on a few rigs. one being a losi scaler and it hasnt destroyed the hexes or anything. i have a had a few issues using the stock hardware. i drill and tap the holes for 2-56 and havent had anymore issues.

SSD all the way. I would hold back, save up and look for a good offer. They are not too heavy, not too light and look awesome. And guaranteed an easy install with Axial tires.
