Huge Proline fan here.

Maybe its because i get sick to death of seeing sponsored drivers for both Pitbull and Voodoo harping on at every chance how good their half price tyres are

Anyway, cannot wait for the new compound, hope they add the Krawler 1.9 to the new sticky compound list.

G8 is decent but ottsix owns it on the rocks by far. Red or gold will slay it.
Very few people here around Vegas run Voodoo tires on scale rigs. Top 4 in Class 2 were running Hyraxes. Nobody in the top 10 was running Voodoo that I can recall. The guys who used to run them (including myself) all swapped over to something else. I could never get them to hook up as well as my TSL XLs, even after trying several different foam combos.

G8 compound isn't as soft or sticky as the KLR Golds were but it works well and the tires last. I'll definitely try a set of the new Hyraxes on the C2.

Hopefully mine are coming back from the Pro Line event this weekend with a sponsored driver, it's good to know someone on the inside.

I got a set of the hyraxes this weekend. They are very soft. I didn't run them yet but they feel nice. I am kicking myself for not buying the tsl xls too. They would be great on my bronco

Got my Hyrax predator compound tires in. Cleaned them with purple power to get the residue off and they are definitely soft. The insides stuck together, they stuck to the other tires, stuck to my bench when they were drying and really stick on concrete and my jagged rock testing course. Cleared out well too in the mud and dirt part of the course.
Can't wait to try the TSL version. Got them on preorder from RPP.
Normally I use the 4.5 CI foams in all my 4.75" tires but my truck is getting pretty heavy so I used 4.75 CI Lil Nova comp cuts, med front, firm rear. (heh)
Very happy with them so far. Happy enough to actually post something finally!

I got my Hyraxes direct from prolineracing. I had the autonotify set up so I got an email when they came in stock. They sold out pretty quick.
Did the same for the TSL version but I think they were gone in minutes.
RPP says next week I believe.

RPP shipped my preorders yesterday! Should have the TSLs and another set of Hyraxes to try this weekend.

One thing I noticed with the Hyrax predator version is the ID seems to be a little large. Possibly due to getting a early batch or maybe it's just because of how soft they are. Not sure but I thought I would share my findings on mounting with different wheels to see if anybody else has the same issues. The only reason I even mention it is, I've never had a set of tires feel too loose when mounting. Usually tires fit really tight against the bead on most of my wheels. Especially Pro-Line tires with their funky beads.

RC4WD 1.9 raceline monsters were loose feeling and I couldn't get the bead to catch even with their special pro-line rings. The gap around the bead was pretty large and uneven. Very frustrating to mount and I finally gave up. 4.19 G8 hyraxes fit perfect on these though. 4.75 G8 hyraxes fit as well but were super tight against the bead.

SSD 1.9 steel trail wheels had a large gap around the bead. Rubber bands might have helped but they were really loose fitting. Love these wheels and they are usually super easy to mount up. G8 4.75 hyraxes fit perfect on these wheels. I've even got the 5.4 boggers to fit on them without issues and they are normally crazy hard to mount up.

Ebay 1.9 method knockoffs fit pretty good but I had to squeeze them with rubber bands to get a tight fit. They are usually the easiest to mount difficult tires on. They are 30mm wide and fill out the hyrax well. I'll probably stick with this combo.

Ebay 1.9 bully knockoffs fit very loose, with a wide gap against the bead. Might work with the rubber band method but would take some work.

G-Made steelies fit perfect against the bead and were super easy to mount. Pro-Line beads are usually harder to mount on the steelies. Normally, I would have to squeeze the bead into the tire before tightening them up.

I haven't tried mounting them on a 2.2 wheel but I bet it would be easier than most tires due to the softness. I'll post again if I get the urge to try.

Mounting issues aside these are ridiculously sticky tires and I'm very impressed with the performance. I gave my original G8 hyraxes to my pop a while ago and was kinda missing them but so far these are better all around. Good enough I ordered him a set of them for father's day for his new TRX4.

In fairness, my mounting test results may have been skewed as I was using a taller foam combo than I usually use (4.75 lil novas vs. the 4.50 I have been using) and this tire is silly soft. I wouldn't think it would stretch the ID out but it's possible.
