I just got a box of the Vanquish tires, they feel nice and sticky. I'm hoping that the perform better than the Treps that came on me RTR Dolt.

I can't get these tires to keep the bead in the internal ring. I'm using the Chanquish wheels that seem to mount up every other tire that I've ever put on them. I even used the stock vanquish foam inside of the stock Trep to see if the size of the foam was an issue- it wasn't.

I'm not bashing the vanquish tires, just reporting back what I've run into to possibly save someone else some headaches, or maybe someone has been successful w/ mounting this combination up and can share some insite.

Toss them in the freezer without foams for a couple hours. Helped me a lot.

Trimming the foam around the wheel was the biggest help for me.

Also tightening the ring to keep the pressure on the bead evenly is key with these tires, get one spot on the ring tightened down too much and the bead will definitely pop out.

Thanks for the suggestions, I was able to mount them. Complete PIA but once they were on the wheel, they stayed put. I finally got to drive them today in a wet, rocky ravine. Initial impression- good all around tire. It handled the wet rock and clay mud/slime as well as anything else. The stock Vanquish foams are way too stiff for a mostly stock Dolt, so I'll be buying some new softer foams in the near future.

I tried some of the ' Lil Nova medium foams in the 4.5" size, they completely overstuffed the tires to the point of having NO air moving in or out of the tire.
I'm not sure where I went wrong, I watched the vid on CI's website to be sure that I ordered the right foams. There's another $35 wasted. The inner foam is too short to use by itself, the first foam ring generally over stuffs the tire. The 2nd outer "tuning" ring simply won't fit into the tire..

Anyone else use different foams w/ better results? I've gone back to the stock foams, which seem too stiff. These beads are such a PIA to seat, I don't want to keep doing this.

I star cut the stock foams and was able to get nice air movement that way and still have similar performance to a 2 stage foam. Not sure on the rules for linking to other forums, so just do a google search for "star cut tire foam".

I know that this is old, but THANK YOU! I have been trying to finish my VS4-10 and have been about ready to throw these ****ing tires in the trash. I have never had such a frustrating time trying to mount a set of tires.
