|  ssd rc contender wheels based on trd wheels?
i just ordered a set of ssd contenders and as i inspected the wheels, they looked familiar. so i went out to compare it to my taco, they almost look the same. copy or coincidence? or just based on?  |

1:1 wheel manufacturers are constantly ‘inspiring’ each other’s designs as well. Nothing new here, really. Slap those contenders under that Yota and Bobs your uncle!

For the record I dont copy any other RC manufacturers wheels. I look at 1:1 wheels I like and make wheels that look scale and that I just like the look of. As I have said before many times, I have been designing RC parts for well over 10 years (and designed many wheels for RC4WD, CADtoChrome and a few others in the past). I dont need to copy anyone. Most of you dont really know who designed what wheels first in the RC world as it goes back a long way now. Yes RC4WD made a TRD inspired wheels before SSD, so what?
