Pit Bull Growlers work pretty good, they dont have the bite the Tsl's and Mtr's have, but a close spaced tread floats better over the snow.

And yes wheel speed helps clear out the snow...

The cold weather carries an ineffable addiction.

Mounted up some RC4WD Goodyear MTR's for a snow run. I start getting into the deeper stuff at the 7min mark. At the 8min mark i start working through snow deeper than my axles. This is an unedited video...

Another thing your video highlights, that folks forget, is how slippery snow is, too. The rig doesn't always go where you point it, so you have to adapt your driving style, plan ahead, steer early, use bumps and berms to get the nose in the right direction. A slight uphill or downhill makes a huge difference. Once you get a set of tracks laid down, Bob's your uncle.

I also dig the way you and I are getting through this cold snap the same way, drive your truck out the back door, tool around out to the fence line, come in with frozen digits.

Thanks for sharing.
What you say is exactly right. It does not take much snow to move the truck. It was painfully obvious when I was trying to get over that log bridge. It's so easy normally, but just that 3/4" of snow kept pushing the truck off. Once the snow got worked down it was no problem again.

The backyard feels like a much bigger playground in the winter at 1/10 of reality...lol. My fingers aren't loving me these days...

Ha! Looks like he left his wife at home. Those old Ford cabs always did heat up well!

Thanks for the comments. I am glad to know someone actually watched the video. I am finding the making of them quite enjoyable.

Edit: I like how you have put music on your video without getting rid of the natural sound. It's perfect!

Put the Pit Bull Rock Beasts to work today after the weather warmed up to -20C.

i just started running my g8 and to my surprize the stock tires with the foams taken out are kickin but in the snow im climing 45° snow banks with ease my highrax dont do that my bfgs are very close but dang the stock redcat tires are killing it i cant even climb 20° with my r35 trupers but the cat is unstopable maybe its just the lack of foams or maybe the tread pattern or a combo cause i know its not 5he compound of the tire pulling it up these hills
cause its not real if no one else can see it
