Saw these on Facebook. I love the 6-spoke design! The other design is too similar to what they already make IMO, but they are still nice.

Oh yeah them black method 310s with the silver ring are fire. Going to have to pony up for a set of those.

The update to the 101 was much needed. The original design was gross. I love the depth these have now. The new 6-spoke wheel is great as well! Anyone else notice the $10 price hike though? ($20 for a set).

I did not notice the price increase. That's tough to swallow with all of the competition out there these days.

I like both designs, but I am getting to where I like wheels with very few tiny screws...

If I do get another set of tiny screw wheels, I think my next ones may be the Super Shafty Falcons, extra-hard 7075 aluminum rings with Cerakote color options,super-deep offset, channelled in the center of the wheel for foams to seat - very nice design, would look superb on a Defender:

And they carry an alternative to SLW hubs that I'd like to try (a little cheaper, too) - the BottomsUP RC (BURC) hubs, also available from 949designs:

There's a difference though. All the small screws on the face of the Vanquish wheels are for looks only. You'd only have to remove them if you want to change rings or add scale hardware. On some wheels those are functional screws and you have to remove and reinstall every single one when changing tires. That's old school. Screw that!

These wheels look narrow. They are listed has having a 0.8" width. The Machete wheels look much wider. Does anybody know the width of those?

Gonna take a guess that they are 1" then, if those 101s are only 0.8"

If you look at the photos the back/large half of the Machete looks twice as thick as the front half. Assuming the front half is the same as the 101, which would be .4", I'm guessing something around 1.25". But it's just a guess and I'm relying on the photo which may be incorrect.

Per the VP specs, the new wheels are 0.80" wide inside the bead where all the other 1.9 wheels are 1" inside the bead. Not sure why they would make these narrower than the other wheels.

I couldn't find the specs for these wheels so thank you. It is odd they'd make them narrower since most of the new tires are way wide.

Not all the wheels are 1" wide, the Method 105s are and maybe the KMC Machetes.

The KMC Bullies, the older Method 101s, Method Roosts, OMFs, and the Incision wheels are all .8" wide.

Looks nice, but too narrow. Why is VP going back to their old ways of wheels that are too narrow?

1" wide is good spec for 1.9 wheels, I'll pass on these and anything else narrower than 1".

I can imagine one specific use case where stretching 1.7" tires over these would probably look good, but other than that I prefer the 1" wide as mentioned.

I just built a trx4 and chose these for my wheels. I paired them with Hyrax tires and they went together super easily. No issues at all.

I wish VP would offer shiny aluminum. That would look great on this 6 spoke wheel design.
