If anyone drops, I’d be happy to throw a set on my toyzuki v2.5 and do a comparison. Currently equipped with the GTS ptfe and Tin Coated Shocks.

I've been running the proto types for 2 years and have not had one leak. I have also just put the production ones through some hard hydro locking and still no leaks. As for a comment made above about if they bend shafts "really" Lol....the only time I have bent a shock shaft is when I had a hard crash coming off a Big rock, so if that happens its not the shocks fault!!! these trucks aren't heavy enough to hydro lock and bend a shaft.

So are those springs different spring rates? Or is it just a dual spring and a single spring option?

And does it utilize the proper setup for true dual spring isolation adjustable for the point at which it forces the stiffer spring to take over?

Sorry for the late response, I really did not expect to be picked to test these......a friend just told me that I was on the list. I've just sent out the email and these will be installed on my Dlux fab MOA for a true comparison against my current Drav Tech shocks.

Hey guy's, my take on these pitbull rc kronik bds shocks !

Killa took them apart and showed the shock shaft seals, so on and so forth. Great write up too , couldn't have said it any better.

The look of these shocks nicely done.
They remind me of the proline shocks , matter of fact , the pitbulls are actually a little better...........

Pitbull, 3 things that stand out that are a plus in my book, aluminum lower rod end ,prolines, their ball end is plastic which actually bent a little,2
the shock cap on the PB, there is a aluminum pivot ball, PL some kind of plastic piece pivot ball. 3rd the body is a little longer than the PLs also,pitbull is a few millimeters longer than the prolines(whole shock).

The springs from the prolines fit the pitbulls(and i have the extra springs from pl), spring cups look the same.

I guess that might be why you're gonna pay a little more for the pitbulls!
I'm no pro on reviews, actually my first real one for me, my views and comments are truthfully mine and no one else's. Im affiliated with mo company..... LMAO had to throw that in there....

Any toes i stepped on , and not trying too,my apologies, im just being frank about the situation...

Now just waiting for green slime, some shock oil ,some heavy 4 lower links .

Thanks for reading this.

So this is the (test)rig that I'll be using ,a VANQUISH PRODUCTS chassis. The new PITBULLRC kronik bds shocks will be going on this.

I'll be painting up a new(to me) Proline Racing 4Runner body,
just waiting on the paints now !

After i paint up the body ,testing on these shocks.
These shocks are really smooth. So far no leaks at all and they're just sitting there!

So far so good, PITBULLRC.

Still no response from pitbull........guess I missed my window. I'd still like to see this shocks put in a real test such as a top tuned moa.

2 hour's give or take, front diff stripped,1st right go's, then the left, only driving with RWD......!

Went with a fellow crawler to Horsemans Park where plbtf was held,,,,

Dampening=30wt=buttery smooth.
I usually use 50wt shock oil, but i went with 30wt, apparently that's the recommended wt, so I tried it, wow ,smooth up&down articulation(hope i worded that correctly).

Looks=bling bling=nice lookin shocks!

NO LEAKS=no leak around the seal retainer, nor the shock cap! Now that's a PLUS, PLUS !

Again, thanks pitbull rc for being generous.

Hope i did an adequate review?

So I received this nice shocks from Pitbull for me to test them. Since they have a very high price tag, I was really wondering what they were all about.

Packaging is pretty standard, they come with dual rate and single the springs that give you plenty of options to configure.

You can tell the quality just from holding them in your hands, but the big question form me is , are threw worth around 90usd a pair? (Still can’t answer that).
The threads are butter smooth, everything is aluminum (everything but the bottom caps that are plastic, but even the rod ends and the pivot balls are aluminum.
The scale looks are awesome and I can tell they have a good sealing system (didn’t take that apart yet).

Filling and reassembling was pretty straight forward since they are top quality construction, so everything went just fine (This process can turn into a pain in the ass sometimes, not the case).
Now they are ready for the weekend competition. After that I will be able to tell you more about their performance, for now I can say I have great expectations. I’ll keep you updated.
