I like my dual stage foams but wouldn’t mind trying a set of these in my Bomber Basher.

Since they're closed-cell foam, I should think this is a pretty nifty idea and would be up for trying out a set - as long as the pricing is in line with other premium foams.

Current exchange rate ios 1.11 USD per Euro - these are pretty close, but you can only get them from overseas (right now), so shipping would be an issue.

Active Levelling Technology (A.L.T.) Foams, from a German R/C shop known as RC-HP.de ( https://www.rc-hp.de/ )

There are YouTube vids out there as well.

TONS of different sizes, with different amounts and sizes of voids in the foams depending on size...

Not a bad idea. Use a standard durometer rated foam and vary the hole sizes to change the overall firmness. Less overhead on their end for sure.

It reminds me of the star cut foam a little bit

Its kind of interesting to go back and look at these old threads

I'm using the CI closed cell foams all round on my TRX-4 and they work reasonably well but the holes in these allowing more tuning during manufacturing is real interesting. I notice that the web site mentions various tires for each type of foam so I think these will be be worth a try.

I bought some hollow punches from Harbor Freight for punching holes.

i tryed this design too my issue is there still foam and will get flatspots even faster than reguler closed cell foams they will breakdown faster too so the performance will change alot over time but there thinking instead of just following
proline has a honeycomb set up too that looks promising
im stoked there starting to improve the tire suport setups foams are old news

These don't look as if they are really utilizing the holes in any structural manner, but I saw them on fleabay and was struck by the coincidence - Listed as Team Associated - Factory Team Tire Inserts, 1.9in, 4.56in Diameter, for Enduro, part number ASC42105:

I have these foams on mine Proline KM3 on my vs4-10 pro,and they are really good, stiffer on the side but at the same time, soft, Work really well and hold really well on the side hill department.
Just received today the rc4wd wrangler mt/r 4.19 tires and the A.L.T foams for them, anxious to try them.
Don't know about the longtime durability but I have mine more or less 3 months ago and they are holding really nice, and my tires are vented by the way.
