Default Has anyone tried the INJORA KLRs?

There seems to be a crapfest going on a few of the Facebook pages right now. Hard to tell what's true and what's not. From what I've gathered, GTSLOW's Facebook Private Investigator LLC, Ottsix lost control of their uber popular M/T X molds.

INJORA is now selling these tires for very reasonable prices. I know OTTSIX 4.19 tires have been nearly impossible to find new in the last 6+ months.

With that said...has anyone tried these yet? How do the compounds compare?

I have them, they're basically the same except the ribbing on the inside. The lugs are nice and rigid but you will always want better foams.

What VooDoo compound do the Injora versions come closest too?

The real question is...if you tag Matt in your photos could he tell the difference?

Real KLRs aren't that great and Injora rubber sucks so you have a recipe for a shitty tire.

Not the same mold. The real tires have a mold offset on the shoulder lugs not centered like these.

Edit: I looked again and they're definitely not centered in the Injora pics.

Uhhh yea it is. It is clearly visible right down the center of the tread in that pic and all others from injora. Ottsix mold seam is offset to the shoulder.

I have zero issue with injora producing these tires with this tread pattern if ottsix hasn't been and didn't plan to continue producing. We'll see how the rubber compound is.

Ottsix has said they're not going to produce these tires any longer?

That I'm not sure. I scoured Facebook posts and could never see a response about them. As far as I know the MTX haven't been sold from the manufacturer in over a year. It might be 18+ months now actually that I think about it.

Somebody on Facebook said something to the affect of this is probably happening because the mold holder wasn't paid in full for the first shipment of the tires. That's why we aren't seeing anymore from Ottsix, but we are seeing them from Chinese companies.

Oh my bad, I just now realize I accidentally had two different pictures of the Injoras open and thought they were the comparison pics . Then i tried to look it up again and the first picture I clicked was actually an X4 which does have the center mold line. But yeah, either way the Injoras I've seen IRL and in their display pics always seem to have a sloppy line.

Since I often buy tires for all the wrong reasons, I have a set of those Injora's on the way - on the slow boat from China!

Going to get mounted on cheap and narrow wheels and not used anywhere near a competition, of course.

I wouldn't buy them from the original mfg, just like I won't buy a certain other tire from the original mfg...

I still have my Vaterra TSLs boiled off the original plastic wheels and mounted on (hah, Injora again) cheap beadlocks with cheap new foams, too.

Oh - yeah, and my Bomber kit tires (but with C.I. D.D. foams) are still occasionally mounted up and taken for a spin.

Not everyone wants or needs the stickiest tires around - I'm getting these to be my skinny 4.19" set.
