I appreciate how the Landmines look designed for RC with less concern towards looking like a scaled down MT. It’s refreshing.

| Re: Landmines 1.9 The sidewalls definitely have a RB like appearance. I think from a glance they have that scale appearance factor but when you stare longer you notice the differences in the lugs. Quote:

Let's not forget JConcepts gave us a sneak peak of them months ago when they released the GMC K10 body. The press photo for the body: And now the Landmines photo: |

The sticker grill on that thing is terrible. Bad enough it’s a sticker, worse that it looks tooo small.

They keep mentioning those wheels - even the part number... So - release them, already! #3389B Colt bead-lock wheels |

| Re: Landmines 1.9 Totally agree. My local shop is small and family owned with a nice 1/10th outdoor off road track. I actually been going there for 30 plus years and know all 3 of past to present day owners. I actually talk with all old owners a few times a month and the new owner a few times a week. Nothing beats a great local hobby shop. I could care less if I spend a little more because the personal service I receive is much more important plus makes for a great place to go and hang out for a few hours a week. |

Stopped at my lhs today and had a set of rockbeast xl’s in my hand. Asked what the availability of the landmines was and they said about a week. My order was placed.

I don't think it's all that bad looking, and if somebody stepped up with a 3D printed front grill & headlight assembly, it could look pretty good.

I am in the hobby shop once a week pretty consistently as well. It’s pretty cool to see all the goods in one place and be able to chat with the guys about it. They are really good about having display rigs of all the current models out on the counter. As much as the convenience of online shopping is attractive, I actually save money by not paying shipping. Unfortunately certain smaller brands just aren’t distributed up here so there’s is always some mailing involved. It just forces me to be patient I like the JConcepts square bodied trucks. I cobbled together a grill for their 1980 F150 using a combination of a 3D printed piece, a cut up Tamiya grill and styrene to replace the provided sticker. I think it worked out really well. My plan is to scratch build a grill for this one using styrene.

| Re: Landmines 1.9 While it would be cool it seems unlikely since they haven't released any smaller tires thus far. Even then it would probably be easier to try a 4.19" release first.

Amain has them in stock, now. I just ordered a set. I also have a set on order with my LHS. I like to support the local guy, but amain is also a LHS. When my LHS gets them in, I'm still going to get them from him.

I got my set all mounted up on the stock VS4-10 wheels. they look great! Really what happened was in order to mount these using the stock foams I had to crush them to get the final beadlock ring on (I even cut a chamfer on the inside of the foams). Then I went back and made some holes so all is well haha With stock foams they measure 1.7" wide by 4.75" tall Vanquish VXT on the left, Landmines in the middle, Proline Flat Irons on the right I'm charging up some batteries so I can go test these on some wet rocks Last edited by HumboldtEF; 12-06-2019 at 10:31 PM. |

"Bad enough it’s a sticker, worse that it looks too small.! Agree the body should have a proper hard plastic bumper, and free 3D print files for more designs. Still nice with one more body to choose from. |
