3d Printed Wheel Designs - Need Dimensions I am just getting back into RC, and am waiting on some parts to arrive. The only RC wheels I have are Traxxas and some 1/18th stuff, so I don't have any wheels to measure. I have some 1.9" wheel designs started, but I need to know some standard dimensions. I need to know the bolt spacing for 5 and 6 lug wheels. I want people to be able to print these and use on a wide range of vehicles, so I need an accurate measurement. Thanks. https://i.imgur.com/uGiLaAZ.png |
Re: 3d Printed Wheel Designs - Need Dimensions For an SLW hub? I designed all my wheels at 17mm, all have fit the hubs fine. |
Re: 3d Printed Wheel Designs - Need Dimensions Yeah. That is what I modeled them at using my best guess. Thanks for the verification! |
Re: 3d Printed Wheel Designs - Need Dimensions I wondered about 3D printing wheels. Do they balance well? What material do you use? Print your own or Shapeways? Are there any drawbacks? Seems like a good way to get a unique wheel, but I wasn't sure it would work. |

Re: 3d Printed Wheel Designs - Need Dimensions I would make them wider. The problem with most of the wheels currently available is that they are too narrow. I would like to see a 1.9 wheel that is 1.125 wide inside the bead. |
