Default Help with wheel size "Axial"

I am new to the hobby with a Yeti (self build) being my first model.
The only real moan about the kit is the wheels, dont grip the tyres and M3 screws strip pretty easy.
So I want to change them for after market metal or plastic. I have seen some budget ones on ebay BUT I am not sure if they will fit.
I know the size is 2.2 BUT nothing else, is that height OR width?
Also the Yeti wheels have spacers/hubs that screw onto the wheel,i do not know if this is present on all wheels.
Can anyone please tell me what i MUST CHECK to see if they fit the yeti,i will have to order from overseas most likely so returning will be a no go.

2.2" refers to the diameter of the wheel where the tire bead mounts.

Any 2.2" crawler-style tire will work. Stadium truck tires and buggy tires also mount to a 2.2 wheel, but those should be very easy to distinguish from a crawler tire.

2.2 is the diameter of the wheel. There are a few widths available, which one you choose will really depend on the width of the tire. I'd recommend a plastic non beadlock wheel such as Crawler Innovations "6 bolt" wheels and using some good tire glue. If I remember correctly, the hubs from the stock wheels will bolt right up to those wheels. While you're at it, grab a set of his closed cell foams to match up with the size of tires you are running. That will keep the tires from turning into pizza cutters at high speed which really helps with handling.
