Saw this on FB. They look like tall, skinny comp tires to me which would make sense seeing as DLux is big into that market. Not for me, but still cool to see another tire manufacturer.

They are based off of a custom built tire but built to better specs so the sidewalls won't tear constantly like most tires in such a compound. Shiat is about to get real.

I'll pick up a set.. looks like I'll still have to sand the sidewall to remove that crown.
Thank D-luxfab.

Sweet! Expected to see similar. Should be great for me, I want to see how the compound feels!

For me, I have always wanted a great lug tire. Sedonas and Rovers work awesome but they are just too wide and sloppy to comp with. So, as usual, if I want something that works for me, I had to make it.

This tire is made with no compromises. Perfect width (no more cut and shut), perfect height, a tried and true lug pattern, strong sidewalls that still flex. Couple that with the best traction you have ever had and what more could you want?

Make no mistake, these are not a Doover. I tried the Doovers and didnt like them at all. They only seemed to work ok plus, you had to spend about $115 per pair to get them! Doovers are narrow and wont get near the traction these tires will get. Way better compound.

I am excited to hear what you guys think. Post up in the comments. Also, if youre stoked about new comp products and glad to see a comp specific tire on the market, do me a favor and make sure the word gets out on these and share this post? It really helps support the hobby.

These are on sale now on my site.

Yup, skewed and stretched to make the proportions more amicable.

one of the lugs is deeper. its not like halfway down like the rover. when i get on the computer ill do a comparison in paint. kinda like how the cougars lugs are not deep down to the carcass. the only thing i hate about the cougars.

I have dlux tires and rovers on hand so no comparison needed. The lugs got tweaked a bit to make the proportions correct. The triangle lugs are a bit larger than they were on the rover too.

Tires bought. Thanks Erik I could have done without the Dluxfab.com on the sidewall.
I didn't expect tires from dluxfab I thought his picture on FB was blocking out the aluminum tube for his super light axles.. seeing that Jeremy had his super light axles FS a while back...

Looking forward to seeing some alum Dluxfab/berg tubes soon.

I'm admittedly not a comp guy so maybe I'm missing something. He couldn't come up with a new tread pattern? Even if it works well, I'm just surprised he didn't try to improve on a now ancient tread pattern.

White Dot rovers tires were getting hard to find but recently hpi started remaking the Rovers a few venders had them for sell.
If you ran Rovers this Dlux tire might be a good thing.
I'm glad Erik keep the tread close to a rover I love my white dot rovers. If you look close Erik did improve the hpi rover even if it's just for the fact no siping or sanding of tread/ sidewalls..Even if it was still a fat tire and not narrow. I personally ran my Rovers full width.

But time will tell..

Maybe HPI will want $1.00 from each Tire Dluxfab.com sells..

Or Erik might end up with a court date for Copyright infringement but I'm not a lawyer. ;)

It is an improvement of an ancient pattern though. 2.2 rovers are short and wide. 1.9 rovers are really skinny but can be made into whatever height you want.

These are a split width and the same height that 1.9 rovers and most other comp tires are built to. Most every tread block has been modified in one way or another so they resemble rovers for sure but they ain't the same.

It'll be interesting to see if HPI cares. They seem to have a much bigger problem of just staying alive right now though.

What I meant is, doesn't he think an all new design could offer better performance than this old design that he borrowed from?

Are Rovers still dominating the competition?

Rover tires have been ran at most of the comps I've been to locally and at other larger comp like AZ shootout, 2019 nationals. Rover tires have been on the podium position at said comps I wouldn't say Dominating but still kicking ass and taking names
