Default 1.7's stretched on 1.9's?

I'm in the midst of building my RC4WD K5 Blazer on SCX10ii chassis. I found some nice, 1.9 mil-spec looking wheels that really compliment the camo K5. To that end, I picked up some 1.9 Proline Grunts figuring they'd really nail the look. On the plus side they sure did. But, they're going to be too tall for this rig without hacking on the body, which i don't want to do as I'm really going scale with it.

Anyway, since I really like the wheels, I'm considering stretching some 1.7's on to them. Is this going to gain me any clearance? I know it will change the aspect ratio of the tire a bit, but not sure how much?

Anyone have any experience with this. Worst case, these wheels/tires will find a home on another rig, and I'll score some 1.7 wheels/tires. But damn, I really like the look of these wheels on this rig.

I stretched 1.7" RC4WD Interco pre-siped Boggers onto SSD 1.9" slotted steelies, worked out perfectly. Used CI foams, and would have to look up which size. They don't look the least bit stretched, width and sidewall height are spot-on. I can post pics later when I get home. Measurements, too - if you need them.

That'd be great durok. Did the tires remain consistent with the stated 1.7 diameter,/height or did they "grow" being stretched on to the 1.9's? The issue I'm having is the 1.9 Grunts are just too tall for that k5 body, but I love the wheels.
