| Re: KLR and KLR-X4 Tires
I have a question regarding foams for the KLR-M. I use the KLR-M right now, with proline dual stage front and single stage rear, on my Capra (aprox 6lbs), and they are to stiff ithink. Cause sometimes the KLR-M struggeling to find traction. So i'm looking at the Lil Nova, but i'm not sure which one to choose 4.25 4.5 4.75 ? think will go soft front medium rear or should i go better a different combination f/r?

Edmundo from CI recommended the below for my KLR golds. I provided the information below that. Granted, I haven't run these tires and foams yet, but on the bench they do seem way too stiff in the rear. I'll update the post when the pandemic lockdown ends and I'm able to test the tires and foams out on the rocks. Thanx Jato for the Info. Spot on. I had first runs on them, like the performance so far. But need to change the foams to get the real result. | |

| Re: KLR and KLR-X4 Tires Way back when I used KLR Silvers, I found the 4.25s to be too stiff. I found that foam tuning the KLRs is a pain in the ass due to the massive amounts of ribbing in the tire.

| Re: KLR and KLR-X4 Tires A bunch of people said that it is difficult to choose foams. You thought 4.25" foams were too stiff in the 4.7" KLR tires?

I am running the CI single stage for 4.19” tires. Basically to keep the tire from folding on the side-hilling. The ribs take care of the rest it seems. The tires are still stiff, but I like them.

| Re: KLR and KLR-X4 Tires The 4.25" foams were too stiff in the OG KLRs in silver compound on a sub 6lb rig. The KLRs also don't quite measure out to 4.7", I think mine measured out to 4.55".

I’m waiting on a set Of KLR Golds I ordered, TOR sent ,me an email saying they were out of stock. They said a few weeks, so I’m waiting for an update that they’ve been shipped. I have a older set of that is still in good shape that I’ve run C.I. 4.25 LIL Nova’s Soft/Medium in and I’m happy with that set up.
