Default softer tires?

Has anyone out there tried to soften a tire? I have heard of many different methods ie: acetone, diesel fuel, simple green even electric motor cleaner. If anyone has tried any of these or others with or without success maybe you could post up here to help a few people out. Thanks in advance.

TORCH

A few times before runs I'd hold a torch to my tires until they just started to lite on fire and pat them out.. The result was devulcanized rubber that stuck to everything, and even left black marks on my rock pile Worked great, probably wears my tires down real fast though.

Many years ago guys would soak there tires in GOJO hand cleaner to soften them up. I never tried it so I don't know if it worked or not.
