| Proline tires tearing.
Anyone have a problem with this? I've torn them a lot. I just tore a brand new one 15 minutes into driving. It's not like it's the same every time I've torn at the lugs, sidewall, and the bead. It's really getting frustrating and expensive. My local shop is still closed so I can't even get more until it opens again, if it does. |

That's odd. I've never torn a Proline tire. Which tires? Which compound? Which wheels were you using and on which vehicles?

I've never ran into this personally though I saw a set of RC4WD wheels that had an inner ring so sharp it was cutting off beads. Is your terrain to blame possibly? Could you have gotten caught on some sharp junk or something? |

I too have never had a problem tearing Proline tires... Duratrax tires yes, but not Proline. But I have always ran G8 compound, not the new predator compound. The Duratrax I blame on the super soft foam, and thin sidewalls, wadding up as power is applied in a high traction situations. |

It's the tsl in predator compound bolted to vanquish beadlocks. There is no way it was the terrain this time. It was all mud and round rock from a garden project I've got going on. I was coming up over one and the tire pinched down and tore. I'll get a photo in a bit. I considered maybe power or something but it's stock trx 4 with 3s. I don't think there are power issues because I don't really use high gear and I don't go full throttle often. I love the tires otherwise. The grip on my local terrain and dirt is incredible. |

I'm wondering if perhaps the rubber has not been properly cured. Would like to see pics.

That's very weird that you're having repeat problems. I only run Proline tires, 3S and Holmes brushless motors and I've never tore one. |

I'll get them, I didn't get a chance today and the car is at my house. I don't have the old tires they all hit the trash.

The tear is always about the sam but sometimes a little bigger or smaller. It's never the same tire either so I'm at a loss. When I'm back home tomorrow I'll get a photo of the one on the truck now. What glue do you recommend? Ca? Rubber cement? |

Ah, yeah I had something similar to that once upon a time. I want to make it clear I'm not shitting on proline I do like the product I'm just bummed about this issue. I don't like my tires vented personally and the tear makes me have one tire act super inflated while the others act aired down. |

To OP, those can easily be repaired with glue. The predator compound is soft and it looks like the sidewall is grabbing on a sharp rock and getting little tears.

Yeah man, those are totally repairable. You can simply seal it from the outside with CA glue (AKA: tire glue, crazy glue, etc). Or if you wanna get jiggy with it then pull the tire off and use a piece of thin rubber (I use old bicycle inner tubes - road bike ones are thinest, mountain bike ones are thicker, use whichever you think will work best for that size of tear) and use one of: rubber cement, shoe goo, E6000 or CA glue to secure the patch from the inside. Once it's patched inside you should still make sure the tear is closed completely on the outside, sometimes that means using a little CA glue to close it up. |

Yeah this one I caught early, the others were much bigger. I just glued it and there is still another hole I have to find.

That looks like a pinch to me. Are your foams really soft? Is your tire folding over on itself when climbing stuff or are you wedging it into cracks where the tire streaches?

There were no cracks just up and over some round landscaping rocks onto an old shed foundation and roots. I didn't pinch or wedge the tire in any unwelcoming holes this time.
