Personally I think if they made these for 1.55 wheels it would look better. Not a fan looks equivalent to 24 in wheels with low profile tires.

I 100% agree. These 3.85" tires on 1.9" wheels look like low profile street tires.

I agree as well though I have heard some offroaders say that the larger rims are better, I forget why exactly.

Proline has decided to go small but they still wont do a small wheel

That size tire does look very good with the 4runner body though

Hmmm.... since I have an MST CMX, and am in the middle of building some CC01's, this is a tempting tire to go for.

I think the trick with these will be to try and find a wheel that doesn't accentuate how big the wheel really is in relation to the tire.

I really do with they came out with 4.19 krawlers though. I've got the 4.19 KM3 and I think the size is good, but I like the Krawler tread pattern for performance.

Agreed on both points. The Krawlers are one of their best tires. It makes me wonder licensing and cost wise is it easier to introduce a new size with existing licensed tires? Maybe saturating the market and competing with themselves is a concern, damn bean counters.

I wonder what it would take to do a big group buy in order to get them to do a 1 off or new size? Or a Kickstarter lol im getting desperate.

1.9 rims are too big for the small Toyota when going with that subtle look... but probably just right for a full size truck body. Well... if you like the 'slightly' big wheel look, but not into the look of super stretch 1.9 tire on 2.2 wheels.

Ignoring that proportion... the tires look great with that rig!

I picked up a set to go with some SSD 5 slots ran them today and I must say they are very impressive for the size

The five slots look real good, but I think part of the issue is wheel width also. I don’t think there are many options for narrow 1.9’s, but that could help.

I'm a big fan of Krawlers, and I have a number of short-wheelbase, tiny-tire rigs, so I was keen to get a set of these new Class 0 Krawlers when they came out.

They don't have a lot of sidewall height due to being 1.9's. I would have preferred them to be 1.55's, but I thought maybe with the right wheels and foams, they might not look too goofy. I tried them with a number of different foams and mounted them up on SSD Assasins in Bronze. I had hoped the black beadlock ring would make the wheel appear a bit smaller. I'm not sure that made much of a difference. Maybe if I swapped out the zinc-colored scale hardware on the beadlock rings to black hardware it might work better at masking the size of the wheel.

Here they are compared to a set of RC4WD BFG Krawlers on 1.7" steel wagon wheels. The difference here is fairly subtle, but I do prefer the look of the 1.7's. The smaller wheel/larger sidewall of the 1.7 RC4WD combo just appears more realistic to me.



Here are the Pro-Line Class 0 Krawlers on 1.9 SSD Assasins with three different bodies mocked up on an ECX Barrage chassis.







The conclusion I've come to is that as far as looks are concerned, it really depends on the body you are running. For me, the Class 0 Krawlers would be a no-go on any these smallish bodies. But I thought they looked pretty good on DJR01974's Enduro chassis with a Hilux body. So maybe they'll work on larger bodies or rigs with longer wheelbases.

I haven't had a chance to run these tires yet, but I got mine in Predator compound, and they are very soft and sticky. The included stock foams from Pro-Line are also very soft. Out of the four foam combos I tried, ironically, I found the stock foams from the RC4WD 1.7 Krawlers provided just the right amount of tire fill, conformity, and sidewall support.

So yeah, at least for me, these Class 0 Krawlers are a bit of a novelty. They might turn out to be awesome performers, but I think many people are primarily going after scale looks with these tiny tires - and being 1.9's kind of handicaps them in that department. On smaller bodies for sure, they do tend to make your rig look like a mall crawler. So for now, they are going back into the parts bin until I figure out where I can best use them.

Go with a stamped wheel. A beadlock with a beadlock ring will make it look awkward.

I also stuffed some Pitbull growler 1.55 size 4.19 foams in the new prolines. It seemed to help with the side wall stiffening. I had some pretty serious tire roll. Not so much if any now. I still need to test them out in the wild 😂

agree with soze. I think the beadlock ring is the main reason.

They have about the same size as 1.9 RC4WD Dirt Grabbers and I think those look great.

They need some of the Boom Racing 1.9 narrow steelies! They have few different variants now and would be perfect for this tire.
