These wheels are so sick.

Beautiful, well made, customizable, and easy to mount.

I had 8mm spacers on the Sendero, so I didn't run them to their full width, but a great looking wheel, and for what they are, very reasonably priced.

That’s about how long it took for the ones on my Jimny to arrive, though living in a different Chicago suburb did allow me to get them a bit quicker.

Boom Racing now has 3 new 1.55" sized options to pick from to pre-order, all 5-lug (so far)...

Set of RTS extra wides with chrome lips. I put the first two together wrong, but fixed it. The some of the easiest, pain in the butt wheels I've ever assembled actually. I didn't like that, out of two sets, one of the scale nut wrenches rounded out to be almost unusable, so a 2mm driver will be ordered from LURC. Overall..I never want another style of wheel again, these are just too dang cool. Also, ordered from Dixieland RC with super fast service.

Question for all.

Has anybody put these on the new VP VS4-10 Phoenix? The Phoenix uses a 5mm axle nut and the supplied nut adapter will not fit into the hub to tighten down the axle nut.

Thanks for the help!

Oh and here the beauty's that I'm trying to install!

@B-MOW71

Do you have a pic of the supplied nut adapter? I'd be surprised if it's not the thin-walled one they sell. Otherwise, to truly run those wheels on it you'd have to swap out the axles to cater to 4mm nuts.

Did you try installing a SLW hub from VP or SSD?

I experienced this issue. Tucked a small spacer behind the wheel nut to get it tightened down. Not ideal.

Need to find a deeper m5 nut. Have not yet researched this, but am planning t0.

*mentioned this is post #15 of my build thread

Thanks for the tips guys!

I was able to get these installed with a little help from my drill press! Full explanation here:B-MOW's VS4-10 Phoenix Portal

@smog - I do remember that I did see your post #15 now that you mentioned it.

By slop, do u mean its like the nut doesnt tighten down all the way? Had that issue with mine. I put a small o-ring between the hub n the nut. That seems to work rather well. Ive run them that way for 4 or 5 month without issue may even work if u put it between the hex n the the hub

Yeah it’s odd. I know that they are seated on the hub fully, but there is a couple of mm of play. Did you use a rubber o ring or a washer?

Just a small o-ring. The ones i use are the same size as the axle shaft, so they fit nice n snug. Idk what brand they are, but theyre red n about 3mm thick, give or take
