Any one tried these before?

Looks like a knock off of a Boom Racing wheel. As long as you don’t cross thread or drip out anything they should be just fine.

Those can be had elsewhere for about 15 less than what you spent. I'm sure they are good to go, as most wheels are made over there anyway.

I’ve picked up a couple “knock off” sets over the last year. I’ve learned to get the ones with all Allen screws for the beadlocks. The hex/bolt style are so small I can’t find a wrench to fit and I’ve had some fall out.

I’m working on a set right now. I just take my time, use loctite on every screw and a nice Allen driver. With loctite you don’t have to go crazy tight on the screws https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f1fc26c71a.jpg

I have a set on my axe. They work fine and my proline crawler tires mounted up fine as well. Just take your time putting the rings together

I have that exact set and another in grey color. They work just fine, fit Pro Line, RC4WD Boggers, & Canyon Trails no problem.

Only issue it had was one of the beadlock screw holes was missing threads on one wheel. Got in contact with seller and they made it right, sent a complete replacement wheel plus extra scale beadlock hardware direct from China and actually just got it yesterday.

Wiha makes small enough nut drivers. I have a few 2mm and 1.5mm nut drivers for the SSD beadlock nuts. You can get them here as this is were I buy mine from. https://www.grainger.com/search?sear...ric+nut+driver

That's good to hear, thanks guys.
Now for the fun part, getting my tires off the glued plastic rims! Gonna try the heat gun method i think.

Re: Any one tried these before?

FYI, the heatgun method works great! Got all 4 tires off in about half an hour. No damage!

Re: Any one tried these before?

Nice! For additional reference here are mine with ProLine Krawler G8 mounted. They went together with no issues, just as easy as the Canyon Trails and the RC4WD Boggers.

I have done the tire mod and weighted the wheels. I do not experience any difference while crawling vs my Rock Beasts. I cut tires with a rasor knife. But they are directional now....I had to watch while mounting 6 rims.

Those look great. Those Traxxas tires are much better than given credit for too.

I got one of these and they came with hex tool for those micro bead lock nuts. Works perfect for the price
