New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper 2 Attachment(s) Not gonna lie didn’t expect the trencher to be a crawler tire when I saw the teasers earlier. But my interest is piqued to see how it does... |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper I'm curious to see how the Trenchers do. I'm also excited to seem them start making 1.55 tires! Don't forget the dually wheels too! |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Glad to see them release something in the middle of all the takeover. We ran trenchers on our 1/5 scales back in the day. Looks a little more realistic than the hyrax so hopefully it performs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper I like the tread pattern but love the compound. Predator does very well on my slick granite. Landmines green took a while to settle in to work half way decent. I like the fact that there are many surface areas on the Trenchers to grab. I’m in. In reality I’d be better off getting the predator red labels and carving them up with a dremel. Those done darn shiny objects |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper maybe you can combine these threads? http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/tires...-55-tslsx.html |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Belive ill have to snag a set to see how they do. Love my 2.8s on my p4de. Really favor my PB rock beast, but these may prove to b woth while |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper They somehow made the Trencher tread look like a Jconcepts Scorpio, which was mediocre compared to current options. A big "meh" from me. |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper My dealer has some on back order for me so hope when Horizon gets them in his shop will get some from the first batch because after that my guess is they will be on back order for a decent amount of time after that. |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper My Trenchers are sitting at the Lhs waiting for me to pick them up tomorrow but won't have new wheels until late next week |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper My wheels came early, assembling them now, will test run tomorrow |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper If we could only get the 1.9 tread and width on a 2.2 tire it might be worth a try. All the 2.2 tires are too wide and the tread is too open. I like the pattern on the 1.9 but the 2.2 look more like a mud tire. It will have to be a no for me.:x |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Idk, i had the 2.8 trenchers on a 2wd stadium truck, they were horrible compared to the badlands in most off-road conditions (especially wet grass). Now these new ones are a softer compound and smaller lugs, so should be good for crawling. Let us all know how they do. They do look like they should work well. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Did the first test today of the Trenchers, they did well, not any better than a set of well broken in Krawler T/A's but the trenchers are new and not broken in. |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Just mounted up my new Trenchers along with Proline 2 stage foams on SSD wheels. Hope to get out either Sat or Sun to do a little testing. If they work similiarly to my Hyrax, TSL Swampers and my JC Landmines I will be pretty happy. I like the tread pattern so be interesting to see how they hook up. |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Update on my Trencher tires, they do not like loose moist dirt. I don't think they were meant to be a dirt tire, think they made for rocks. they worked great in the very hard sandstone last weekend. I think the tread is to shallow fort dirt |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Had a chance to test out my new Trenchers this weekend and wow they're awesome. I ran them at two places I go all the time and for dry conditions, hard pack and on the rocks these tires for me just got it done. I ran up some areas that I haven't been able to do all year until this weekend. Very happy with these tires. |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Running g8 trenchers up front and r35 compound mt45's in the rear on my 6 pound 12 oz umg10. With the slip in the rear and gecko fingers up front... I wont change a thing. Running ci 4.5 all around but soft front and med rear. On 2.2 chanquish wheels. Thing climbs, turns, recovers, downhills on throttle, backflips... .https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...43d34a4c21.jpg Sent from my LM-K500 using Tapatalk |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper I’ve been running the M3 compound SCT Trenchers on my Telluride for some time now and have been happy with them, though I do with these were still available in this design and compound or better yet, in their crawler compounds. I do have them mounted on their SC-10 bead locks with HPI Soft Foams, but this combo works well for what I’ve done with it so far! https://hosting.photobucket.com/albu...080&fit=bounds |
Re: New proline tires - Trencher for crawlers and 1.55 swamper Ok...so I bought a set of the new Trencher in Predator compound, even though I said I was not going to. WOW after seeing a set run on Bomber set up for crawling I had to try them. Got a set of foams 4 stage, and mounted them on some Bully carbon fiber wheels. I first put them on my Capra based shafty. This truck is so sensitive to the set up I knew that if they ran good on this I would have no problems getting it to run on my 5thD MOA, or my Sudo Pro shafty. I was VERY impressed. These were pulling lines that my Sadonas were barely able to do and they are shaved and well broken in. I can't wait to see how they run after a few more packs run through them. I have taken first place 2 weeks now with these. I think I have my new go-to tires if they work on my MOA. I do Love my Sadonas but just can't find them any more. It's nice to have a backup plan."thumbsup" |
