Default Required adapters to run tracks

So, a couple years ago, I purchased a set of inexpensive tracks off of Amazon for my son's SCX10. Never having run tracks before and the description not stating that adapters were required, I had no ides...

Once installed, you can imagine the look on his face when the tracks just tried to rotate and bind up on the body. I won the awesome father award that day...

Can anyone tell me what will be required to run the tracks shown in the picture above?
This is bot the exact tracks, but ours have the same mounting set-up.

Thank you

Looks like the standard 12mm hex.
Measure the width of your current hexes and get wider ones.

The hexes are not the issue, I already got wider ones. The problem is that the whole track assembly tries to rotate like a tire, because there is nothing on the axle housing to stop it from doing so.

I see Xtra Speed has adapters for their tracks, just wasn't sure if it would work on the ones we have.
Front https://www.ebay.com/itm/123891944028
Rear https://www.ebay.com/itm/401866096088

*EDIT* For the price, I am just going to order them and see where it gets me. Worse case is it gives me a platform to make some modifications to allow them to work.
I will report back my finding once I get them installed.

it looks like there designed to kinda hook in to the knuckle rather than bolt to them kinda floating like
ill bet the rear adaptors will work fine the front im guessing with some basic simple mods can be made to work with what you have

the metal ring in the back in the picture looks like it can be spaced out further with longer screws and some spacers till you can get it to hit the steering knuckle im guessing that would solve the problem
the rear adaptor looks like it has some ears sticking out that would lock in to that ring

Thanks ferp, kinda what I was thinking and for the price of the adapters, I think it is worth a shot.

I agree, it definitely looks like a floating mount to allow the track assemblies to rock forward and backward.
They have shipped and should be to the house by December 16th.
