|  Winter spike tires - test & build video
Hello, I've always wanted to have a set of spike tires for my 1/18 scale crawlers (RC4WD). I came up with a fairly easy method that exceeded my expectations! I made this video to show the test drive on an icy river and my build details. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dA4R3Td4T80 I hope this may be useful to some of you living in a cold part of the world! Thanks for your answers guys! I've been testing the spike tires for the past 10 days and they work amazingly well. One thing I would probably changed in my tutorial would be to cut alternatively the screws at 0° and 90° so it keeps traction forwards AND sideways (the cutting plier inprint a certain teeth shape to the screw ends). Sure is. I got lucky by discovering this place the day there was low temperature and low tide and sun!
