Default New RC4wd Class 2 tire??

Hey guys, I was browsing their website this morning and stumbled on this new very aggressive tire!!!

https://store.rc4wd.com/rc4wd-mickey...ale-tires.html

They make it in 4.19" in 1.7 and 4.72" in 1.9.

Thread makes me think of a rock bouncer tire and they make it in their new X2S3 compound, not sure how it compares to newer rubber.

I got 1.7 iroks on my tf2 MC and they are amazing and thinking of getting those maybe. They're a bit taller but slightly narrower too and would fill the fenders a bit more since I put the bruiser shackles, amazing upgrade to the tf2 for extra articulation btw.

Let me know what you think.

Ah, yeah - the new Mickey Thompson Baja Pro X - Check out this thread, starting with this post:

1:1 Tire scale replica request thread

I emailed RC4WD and mentioned that these were being seen on bouncers and in magazine tests, and since they had a habit of releasing Mickey Thompson licensed tires, maybe they could consider scale versions.

And shortly thereafter, they did it!

I've had both sizes for a while, but because I'm a horrible procrastinator neither set has been installed or hit the dirt.

The X2S3 is pretty damn sticky, I have some Goodyear MT/Rs and my friend Miatardo and I also have Interco Thornbirds in the same compound - he's been running the Thornbirds on his TRX-4 Bronco and they work quite well, my Goodyears are a 4.19 size and have been thrashed hard on my Ascender - I like 'em but the knobs are a bit too small on that size tire, and are wearing kinda quickly. Designs with bigger chunks of tread will last longer, IMHO - his Thornbirds are doing fine, for example.

The level of detail on these, as all recent RC4WD tires, is INSANE - check out the ultra-fine shallow sipes, stepping, and M/T logos in-between the sidewall blocks. It's more noticeable on the larger tire, because my phone's camera could not quite focus on them on the smaller one - but they ARE there on that model, too!

The newer white foams that RC4WD installs on all the new compound tires are much stiffer than their old gray foam, also.

Anyways - PICS!
