that foam has a tendency to get flat spots that wont go away the holes will only make it worse i tryed that when i went on a foam kick they absolutly sucked they just colapsed on my 20lb truck there ok at first but after a few days my truck looked like it was running canadian style tires lol Last edited by ferp420; 03-03-2021 at 07:14 AM. |

My understanding is that nearly all types of foam WILL flat-spot if left sitting at the same place for long periods on the tires with weight on them. Why do you think vehicle stands are recommended? I'd definitely try the A.L.T. foams if I could get them over here at a decent price... |

my tires looked like this in a few days but thats not saying if stored off the wheels always and your running a light rig they might work for you but not for my needs closed cell foams have always had issues with flat spots and drilling holes in them just makes it worse i even went as far as putting rubber hose inside the holes but that dident help it just made the wheels heavy Last edited by ferp420; 03-03-2021 at 12:36 PM.

I like the foam my wheels keep coming with (ProLine and JConcepts) but would be down to try something different if taking apart my bead locks wasn't such a pain in the rear. This is another one of those areas of this hobby that is so subjective I don't see how you could even debate it. If these trucks were all run bone stock with no added weight/hard bodies/yada yada it would be apples to apples but there are so many factors (total weight, weight bias, tire, temperature, surface, driving style, price of tea in china, tighty whities or boxers) that I say just run whatever tickles your fancy but don't expect everyone to think they are awesome. The best performing foams I have in my fleet are soggy Chinese ones that came in some knock of Hyrax cheapies...they are just good, I couldn't tell you why, other than they work in the formula I've built. |

What slays me are review videos that swap in a set of different foams ONLY on the front or rear, when they are supposed to be properly reviewing the product. That's a half-assed review. Obviously people are going to get different results from a softer rear set or softer front set, and often it is a recommended performance trick to run different foams - but if you are testing a new type of foam, you aren't being fair to the manufacturer by only using them on one axle or another... |

Left is lil novas right is ALT. Immediately after the install, it is nice to jot have the "ballooned" look. Tires have their flatter tread face and more squared off edges gain. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |

How do they feel in terms of squish? They look promising, keep us posted on how they hold up. |

CI foams run large in 1.9s. 4.5 with the tuning rings removed are perfect for any 4.75" tire. They always start too large until they break in anyway.

Do you understand that you are not comparing similar products? The Lil Nova is a Dual Stage foam. The competitor foam is a single stage. If you are after a similar comparison, the Deuce's Wild is a single stage foam like your competitor.

I've tried many type of foams, ALT is definitely dual stage. I have them in 4.75" RC4WD Wranglers and 4.35" Pit Bull Braven Berserkers.
