Anyone make super firm foams for 3.5" 1.55 tire that will support a 9lb truck?

Looks like Crawler Innovations just came out with a 1.55 Single Stage Deuce's Wild Foam!! Firmest foam out there and should do the trick!!! CWR-3019 was designed for use in the RC4WD TF2 with Mud Thrasher Tires, the Axial Yeti Jr and similar rc vehicles using "tiny tires". With the heavier weight of hard body scale RC vehicles, the tire foam insert needs to be able to support that weight. These foams fit tires such as the Pitbull Tires 1.55 Rock Beast, RC4WD Rock Crusher XT, RC4WD Goodyear Wrangler MTR and any other brand of tires of similar height and width. This foam will fit tires ranging from 3.60" in height down to 3.40" in height. These foams are much firmer than anything available on the market. They do not fold over under load whether it's high speed, heavy weight, or simply turning. These foams rely on a small air gap between the foam and tire. This loose area allows for the tire to obtain traction, while the foam supports the tire. Approximate size: 3.00" Height x 1.25" Width (Remember that foam goes inside the tire and one must subtract lug and carcass thickness, plus any reinforcing from the overall tire height.) |

Pit Bull has some new Dirty Richard single stage foams. They have 1.55 in a 3.7" od and 4" od in soft, med and firm. https://pitbullrc.com/collections/fo...nt=53160842183 |

What in god's name have you built that's small enough to run on 1.55" wheels but weighs 9 pounds?? That's heavier than my Wraith!

The sound deadning is what is putting it over the top. Going ultra realistic and the sound the hollow body makes does not fit in with that. |

In that case you'd better get rid of the electric motor, because it will never be ultra-realistic with that sucker under the "hood".

Have an engine sound simulator....without the insulation it echoed too much and didn't sound right.

Depending on what tires you're using, the foams that come with the RC4WD tires may be just what you need. I just picked up some 1.55 KL/Rs and the foams that were included were pretty stiff. They'd probably just about right for an 8-9lb rig. Because I'm using the tires on a Barrage, I had to replace them with something significantly softer.

Super firm? Grab a scrap 2x4. I've got 3-5/8" and 1-1/2" hole saws you can borrow.
