Default Single Stage Waterproof Foams for 3.85” 1.55’s

As the title states, it’s am looking for some Single Stage Waterproof Foams for 3.85” 1.55’s and looking for some recommendations for a rig in the 10 lb range.

The tires are Proline Swampers in Predator compound and I will likely vent the tires.
The foams that came with them is way too soft. It looks like I have 4 flat tires…

I was considering the pool noodle idea, it’s just the wrong time of year to find that stuff up here lol

TIA

I had good luck with Deuce Wilds Heavy duty foams by Crawler Innovations, for my Defender. Almost a year in service now and still holding strong.

Cool, thanks. For a 3.85” OD, it looks like this might be the closest one and I might be able to contact CI and see if the recommend any tuning rings to get the perfect diameter.

This might be another option, but I wish they listed a weight range the would support.

I guess if they were too soft, I could fill some of the pattern up to achieve my goals.

CI still has not gotten back to me with the questions I sent them from their "Contact Us" section of their website

*EDIT**
The Boom Racing inserts might be a bit too skinny...

This is an offering from Crazy Crawler

Well, I decided on the offerings from Creepy Crawler. They were a little taller that the C.I. option that I could find.

Once they arrive and are installed, I will report back to this thread, as well as, I will update my main thread in the Redcat Section.

Actually yes, thanks for poking the bear, as I need it sometimes.

They were a little wide for the tires, so I shaved them down a little and they fit perfect, as well as stopped the tires from smashing down so far.

Now that summer is here again, I need to put these back on and try them outside a bit.

There are some pictures here New Gen8 AXE Edition. Choices, choices, choices...

Unfortunately, the Redcat Gen8 portal axles are just too wide to get a decent scale look out of this truck body. I will likely end up using these on a different build down the road, as I do want to build something a bit more scale’ish.

I’ve got the suspension lowered as much as possible and the body is as low as I can get it without major modifications, but that does not fix the axle width issue.
