I spent $42 shipped for a set of 35mm wheels and the knock off pit bulls and those tires are on another level of soft that I've ever felt. Near silicone like.

I think options are good. I have Vanquish 1.9, "Chanquish" 1.9, SSD 2.2, 2.2 Punks 3D Carbon Fiber, 1.9 Inverse Carbon Fiber, RC4WD, 1.9 Treal, 1.0 Treal, no name amazon, and others.

Most have been very easy to put together and I haven't had issues with screws stripping on any of these at this time.

Know the tires are going to suck. I have a set of the same knock offs in 1.9 and they were crap. Two tires sidewall ripped first time out too. Fine for a cheap trail rig IMO, but actual rock crawling no.

My LCG Cheater build with these tires had to throttle up everything if it even could make it. Swapped over to my friends JConcepts Ruptures and slow crawled up the lines I was previously only able to full throttle up with the bootlegs.

My consensus is cheaper wheels probably OK, but for actual rock crawling and grip, I want the real tires in quality compounds.

I've stumbled upon 2.2 Method Roost knockoffs on Amazon and bought them. I've always liked the Roost from Vanquish but unfortunately can't afford them. I can't also afford a Ferrari so it is fine. The knockoffs are well finished but the beadlock system is not solid like on the VPs...They rely on a inner ring held by M2 screws. The central ring is pretty much useless to. Had to 3D print a narrower ring because the stock one only has about 1mm clearance when the inner ring is tightened
