Default Short tires for a heavy pig

Any suggestions for a sub 4.5" tire to run on a heavy Axial early bronco with portals. I want keep the CG as low as possible and have enough support and grip for a close to 8lb rig.

Foams are really going to be the main concern. Pick a tire you like, see what the stock foams do and go from there. Lil Nova makes some good foams.

I guess the foam is the determining factor, but i know some tires just have weak sidewalls and might require a really hard foam that can't conform to the terrain as well.

Dual stage foams or antifoams. Firm sidewall but allows the tire to still conform

I think I agree with everyone else. Find the tires you want to use and adjust the foam inserts accordingly.

I used a set of Crazy Crawler LaserFoam "WP Magic" in 1.55 for a project. They are pretty stiff but worked pretty decent for my heavy Gen8 AXE project.

Being the type of foam they are, you could also cut them even more to soften up the outside, where the tread would be, if needed.

The crazy foams seems like they would aid in pulling yourself up the rocks. MIght have to give those a shot.

I put the Pro-Line Toyo Open Countrys on my Bronco. I think they measure just under 4.5".

I'm running Pro-Line's dual stage foams for 4.75 tires in them. They hold my Bronco up fine, even under side hill conditions. I hate seeing the whole sidewall flop over when sidehilling.

I run Axial Ripsaws on a cinderblock-like TRX-4 Defender, and they're fantastic. They're a little expensive (IMO) but that 4.3" tire seems perfect on the top-heavy portal'd rig. I won't change 'em for anything.
