The hyrax did pretty good so do the jconcepts ruptures
But any tire you choose what you put inside the tire will make the biggest differance stock foams wont help any tire any the key to sand is floatation
If you have stiff tires you can run foamless probably the best traction you can get

hyrax predator?

I have try Duratrax deep woods 2.2 in my alu bedlocks
With two different foams, also without foams. They dont handle loose sand

Need something better now. Really good ones, pretty good is not enough

In the 1:1 world the next best choice is TSL' Boggers, but you need LOTS of POWER!Proline has them in 1.9 flavor, @ 5.4" tall, and Axial has cut boggers in 2.2"x 5.9"

Tsl SX is a less aggressive choice....

My Ryft has TSL SX on front and Stock rear tires(cut boggers) My Bronco is running the 1.9 Boggers on wide LURC rims.

That said Power is everything in sand.

Swampers suck in the sand they dig to much and the side lugs tend to pull the rig one way or the other depending on the rut they drop in too on 1:1 rigs anyway

Personally for my sand rigs i run half bald allterain tires

Maxxis made a tire for the sand it was directional with vary little tread they stuck to dirt and sand like it was pavement

I was bummed when they discontinued my size in that style of tire

That has been your experience. I appreciate it. The winner of the local rc sand drags has won on the Axial cut boggers, beating out paddles.

I don't know if Axial still makes them, but their 2.2 Falken Wildpeak M/T is an awesome sand tire. At low RPMs it just plugs along, pulling you slowly forward.

this question was for my friend.
Now also i wonder what tires are great in loose sand?
I have found nice place now, there is alot loose sand

Is there anything better than Hyrax Predator? I have these

Rig will be heavy also with extra weights

Remember this is RC Crawlers, not real cars.

Best real offroad tires in Jeep 1/1 real car i have use is North European Snow Winter tyres. Super extra soft.
Dangerous at hot asphalt summer time.

But Great in mud and terrain

what is best in loose sand RC Crawlers 1/10 ?

Hyrax Predator 2.2 does not so well at loose sand.
They are awsome at stones

Where is all the professionals here that have crawling long time and
try many different tires?

We need professional help here

JJ I have been crawling since 2008 in all terrains. My favorite all around tire is the Proline Tsl Sx. it does well in all conditions including sand. I have had dozens of different tires on my rigs.

In my experience 1:1 off road.
And dependent on what you wish to avoid or accomplish ?

I would suggest a smoothie or near bald tire with tight small lugs.
Wider tires generally do better, As long as they're softer (softer inserts-RC) or aired down for a 1:1.

Keep the foam inserts on the softer side to increase flotation.
Your flotation is key to staying on top of soft sand.

If having some horsepower and an interest in moving forward rapidly.
Then paddle tires are your best bet. They offer both flotation and raised paddle lugs to move you forward, rapidly.
But realize that paddles are not the best for sharp/precise cornering.
