glueing rims back together? what are you guys using to put them back together? i want something strong that won't eventually break apart.. by the time my rims are done, they should be about 3/4" to where the tire will be glued on :D but need a kick ass glue first :? |
Re: glueing rims back together? I have used PVC pipe cement, or JB Weld. It just depends on the type of plastic rims and the amount of working time I need. The pipe cement is super strong, dries almost instantly, it welds the plastic together/melts it together, but doesn't give you any room for error. Martin |
Re: glueing rims back together? JB Weld |
Re: glueing rims back together? yeah i just JB welded it and it seems to be holding up fine. thanks guys :D |
Re: glueing rims back together? You just want to make sure, when using JB weld and gluing the wheels back together, to really rough up the two sides being bonded together. I had one set that was fairly smooth and the bond broke. |
