Default LST Sports ????????

Got these LST's quite a while back and have never seen them used anywhere else. They work great. Did I get a one of a kind, or are these available somewhere with a different part # than the Claws.

I believe they come on the Aftershock. A couple of our members have them, but haven't really run them in comps. They are a lot softer than the original LST tire, and seem to be molded from one of the Losi race compounds instead of whatever they used on the originals.

They worked though the LHS to get them in, took a couple tries to get them in. The shop actaully had to call the distributer and have them confirm the right tires before shipping them. I believe they still have some in stock now.

They are the new version of the LST and the Part # is the same.
Have the hobby shop order a couple sets and just return the old style if they come in. I have a set myself and they are super squishy to soft to run foamless. Hell even with the foams that come with them they are still to soft. I was going to star cut the foam but it's not needed. As for running weight in the tires you'd have to run stick on weight or fill the tire with airsoft bb's maybe.

ehh, WRONG! may want to check your facts there brock. the new LST tires look nothing like those and my LHS had no idea of what i was talking about when i asked about new LST tires.

these are the new, or LST2 tires, the ones we'r talking about are aftershock tires.

EHH WRONG! The LST/Aftershock tire has the same part # and the newer aftershock tire is replacing the old LST tire. There is a LST2 but that's a whole different tire. I've been in contact with the MFG. trying to get an idea of about when the old stock of those hard azz LST tires will be gone.
Hence the reason I said have the hobby shop order several sets, as you may get the old LST tire and you may get the newer aftershock tire.
I did the same thing at my local shop and out of 5 sets ordered half was the old LST tires.

Claw MT Tires w/Foam: LST, AFT(LOSB7201)

Notice it says LST, AFT
And the pic shows a tire with solid lugs.
Those are the old LST tires.

Check the aftershock gallery what tires are shown? The old LST tire.

As per the mfg the correct part # for the newer aftershock hollowed out lug tires is the same LOSB7201.

They are still too soft with the stock foams, I agree. This is what I did. I cut the stock foams in half and glued blocks onto the outside radius of the foam w/ the other half of the foams. The bucket in the pic is just for pressure while the glue dries. This really supports the center and they still wrap around the rocks.

Have you guys seen these? They have the Firm foam over the soft foam... maybe this can give them some stiffness...

Later,
Jake
