| New Erikson Heavy Beadlock Wheels
At the last UTRCRC com I got to meet Unimoger. I had recently picked up a set of his beadlocks and absolutely loved them. I had 2 sets of RC4WD beadlocks and one set of Axials and always had issues with them one in way or another. He let me know that he was working on some new stuff, one being 1.9 wheels, and the other being his "Heavy" wheels. I knew I had to have a set of both so I made sure I got some asap. The Heavy wheels are solid delran with only a hole drilled for the axle nut. They are perfect for front wheels on a comp rig, no need to add weight. On my standard Ericksons I had added one strip of stick-on wheel weights to the front. I weighed them against the new Heavy fronts and they were wihin grams of each other. I mounted them up and got some run time on them this morning. I can't say they perform any different than the ones I already had set up, that is not a bad thing though because my six shooters performed flawlessly. You just don't have to add weight. Ben told me they were designed to be run with the Disc wheels in the back. I love the look of them Perfect for a comp rig. Also as far as them holding the bead on Mashers or Moabs it has not ever been an issue. I think I have the perfect set up for testing with half Mashers, half Moabs and neither side had come out. I also run a Hyperion 3013z Brushless in my comp rig so there is plenty of torque to rip tires out, believe me I have done it several times with Mashers on RC4WD wheels and Axials. I will say this and I mean it, if you want the best possible wheels for your comp rig, these are it, no questions, no excuses, period. Bad Pic but it shows just the wheels Heavy Wheels Rear Dish Wheels I love this picture From behind Last edited by Just Zach; 05-13-2007 at 09:28 PM. Reason: New Pictures |

| I don't know why the outside rings need to be beveled, I guess it could help them not catch as much but that's easy to do. I was just thinking this morning that I needed to bend the links.

| Okay, just a little thing. My last name has a "c" in it. It is Erickson, not Erikson. |

That is pretty funny. I have misspelled his name on occasion as well (intentionally???) hehe. I think I should start a thread in chit chat about the proper way to misspell RD400s name.... Tim |

Those sound awesome. I am not sure I like the looks as much, but hey, it is a comp rig, right. I may have to purchase a set of the new heavies when they come out. Are they the same width and offset? I would assume so, but thought I would ask. Thanks, Casey |
