Default 2.2 size question.

Hey guys, I am working on a tlt and had a question on 2.2 tires.
Does any one know if 2.2 tires that are narrowed, and mounted on axial narrow beadlocks would be any smaller diameter than non- narrowed tires on the same rims. I ask because I am using a proline blazer body and I have masher 2ks on axials and I do not think they fit the body style very well. If there is no difference, I might use dirt works or dirt hawgs because they seem to have a lower profile. I am not thinking of 1.9s right now because this is my first build and I would like to have it finished before I start stacking up on option parts. Thank you for your help.

Narrowing a tire generally will not effect it's height. Putting it on a narrowed wheel gives the illusion of making the tire taller, but really it doesn't make a significant difference.

Okay guys thanks. I just saw that the rc4wd (mudslingers?) are out. I would really like to get those if there not too much. Guess I have to find some nice 1.9 rims to go with the blazer. I am sorry to ask but I do not know anything about them. Where can I find some plastic, non-beadlock wheels for the tires? Thanks alot, I am hoping to get a build thread up soon for my truck.

These are cheap, and fit 1.9"tires, and look pretty realistic

Don't know much about the RC4WD tires, but I wouldn't hold my breath expecting a rubber compound that could compare with the Masher 2k or other popular tires. I'm sure if will be better than the super hard Tamiya tires, but RC4WD doesn't specialize in tires, and they seem to have a hard enough time with their machined parts.

Thanks, after I posted I looked and saw a couple choices that were all 52mm. I asked a friend on msn to convert to inches and he said over 2 inches. Does it take some stretching? I am not too fussed about the compound because I dont comp crawl anyways but the review on scale said they were soft enough to go flat with no foams. My truck is a little more scale than crawler so they should be perfect because they should do well on rocks. Thanks for the help.
Oh yeah and is 26mm pretty thin or should they be narrowed more? I dont have any of my rims here to compare with thanks.

The stock car wheels are great! I have a set of narrowed and reduced Pro-Line Dirt Works tires and they really look nice on the rig. I think I'm going to have to mount up some 1.9 M2ks though for the tires to look right under the body.

Cool thanks. I think I settled on my tire/wheel combo. Black stock cars and mudslingers. I will probably also get some 2.2 dirt works and 1.9 claw dogs. Thanks for all the help.

I am running narrowed (cut&shut) Pro-ling Dirt Hawgs on my Blazer. They fit perfect.

The narrowed Dirt Hawgs look good, but they are 2.2, and will not fit the stock car wheels.

I was replying to his original post and question, where he was considering the 2.2 wheels and tires.
