Default may have cut too much?

So, I cut my stock TXT tires to somewhat of a Baja Claw tread pattern while building my rock rig. Now that it works(sorta) I'm noticing that the tires flex to almost the rim. Should I rig up some foams?

I did the same to my stock emaxx tires and they look like Low Profile tires....I guess you could fab some foam up...I also have issues when i try to drive at high speeds it's very unstable...
I dnt care thou I just cant see my self spending $60.00 on tires im going to cut up...i still cant find an ideal crawling tire..
