Default Verdict on best Comp tires? Rock stompers, Losi, Rock Crusher

I'd Like to hear feedback on these tires

Losi's seem to have the reputation of good compound

Rock stompers are tall and seem to hook up well from one persons point of view.

What are the results of using these tires?

Guess we will wait for Rock Stompers

There is no one all out best for everything. All those tires will work different on different types of rock and the way they are set up. Some of those tire's arent available yet either.

my rock stompers should be here today. I am gonna givem a full wringing against the claws I am running as soon as I get em mounted.

I really hope the compound is different than the slingers. I do have my crawler tape ready if they perform less than expected

I just ran em on my rock pile in the garage. It is mostly small rocks used to keep erosion down in ditches etc.

The compound is just too hard. I ran with full foams and will cut the foams tonight, but as of right now, too stiff. I have one full wrap of weight in each rim too.

They were the easiest tire I have ever put on a beadlock though This is due to the stiff compound and it holds its shape when you slip the bead in.

5year old just got off the school bus with a 102.5* fever so testing is done for today.

There ain't no way I'm running Rock Stompers in a COMP.
I got mine today, they are super huge and super sick looking...

They're gong on my narrowed Chrome Junfacs on my tube-truggy scaler.
They're just not COMP tires, they're very hard and the carcass has barely any flex whatsoever. They are awesome scale tires, or just play tires, they look amazing. Just too hard :-(

In real life those things would be like 76x22x15 Truxxus MTs.

Honestly, after second thinking the entire Rock Stomper thing... I haven't tried them yet. They are sitting on my table still...

After seeing how much taller they are then my Moabs or Rock Lizards, the benefits from clearance gained may outweigh the hard rubber negatives.

Going from a Moab to the Rock Stomper, in real life would be like going from a 33" tire to a 44" tire... and you can imagine those benefits on your 1:1 rig.

I'm gonna have to run these first, then swap back to Moabs to see for sure which tire is going to work better. They are freaking enormous!!!!!!

I like to run a belly dragger set up so, these actually might help.

IF RC4wd can get a compound dialed in with whoever is making these for them, the Stomper will be unstoppable. I actually think it might be a little too big!! It's like almost 5 3/4" tall.

Its looks like they might clog up easily in soft dirt or goopy mud.

We will continuous improve our tires. We expect to release a soft version of MudSlingers first (in December).

I think the difference may be vehicle weight. One thing these small tire manufactures need to understand is a great looking tire won't perform for crap if the compound and the carcass of the tire isn't right. There's a lot more to a comp worthy tire than looks & size. I'm very doubtful that any tire RC4wd will make will be comp worthy. Proline, Losi and even HPI have been making tires for a long time and have the experience to build competition tires.
