This is one of a few prototypes I made. I never got it mounted tho as I don't have the tools to make my own knuckles to mounts them. One of these years I plan on getting a mill and finish the design.

The one I based it off:

And its 1/8th scale counterpart:

Picked up a H2 rc with Mattracks at radio shack about 2 months ago. I got the tracks modded to fit on my ax10 but need to make something to keep the whole assembly from rotating. I think you can by just the tracks through radio shack, like $12 a pair or something like that. I'll try and get some pics up.

Yes! thats awesome. About the rotation, maybe run a link from each track to the chassis or to the axle. Thats gonna look like a 10 link suspention . I am all for putting mattracks on my ax-10, Please post a build thread on this!!!!

Nope never even had a emaxx, you must be thinking of someone else...

If you have the room run a small rod from the track housing to the knuckle. Have a ball end on the housing and run a sleeve on the knuckle with 2 springs captured with collars. With this setup you can setup the amount of swing the tracks allowed to have. Changing your spring tension will change the characteristics.

Heres some pics w/ the tracks on my ax10. I will get some better close-ups and explain how I modded them to fit.
The one rear has the new track I going to run. Just took a stock T-maxx tire and cut the tread out. Still need to trim it and glue them on the original tracks. They were just the diameter.

Think this might work to keep them from rotating.Just mock up. I will have to limit the shock travel. What do you think?
