Default Powdercoating

Does anyone have or know someone who has the following...
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=94244
http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=46300

I'm looking into getting a small powder coating setup and was wondering if anyone knew anything about those.

Yes, and a quick search for "powder coating" turns up quite a few threads about it, including this one that I did a step by step picture howto at the request of Jason.

I did search and didn't find any info on the oven... that's my main concern.

The gun works good but waists alot of powder because of the larger opening as far as using it for small chassis like we do.. But if you fab up a "catch" for the unused poweder you can recycle it.

The over I hear is good too.

It's a decent size inside 18X18X18
And it runs on 110V so you won't need a 220 like you would for a normal oven.

Price is about the same as adding a 220 box to the garage though. (from what I was quoted may cost more or less in your area)
I'm sure this seals and holds heat better than a conventional oven and if you ever plan on doing any pottery stuff you can use this as well..:?.

You can powder coating basically anywhere.....you'll just get powder everywhere. The fumes/dust are only bad when curing......still would recommend a dust mask or respirator.

It is really a good idea to wear a respirator when you're near the curing oven. Those fumes are real toxic.
