Anybody Cut and spline CV?

Does anyone know how to cut and spline a shaft. I've got some custom axles and need to cut my cv's down and resplined them. Thanks in advance.

Wouldn't it be alot easy to cut the center of the CV shaft and remove the material...then simply weld the 2 pieces back together?

No need to spline.

Anybody here that could do that for me? My rigs down until I get this fixed. I'm not really sure of any places that could do it in my area.
