| Do it your self heat treating
I long time ago I read how to do heat treating at home.I think I read it on pirate. I Tried to find it again, on pirate and google and didnt find much. anybody tried it? or even know how to do it?

Depends on what you are wanting to heat treat. If you go to your local welding shop you can find heat treatment chemicals. If you are wanting to treat like yokes and small parts like that, a good case hardening treatment will work good. But this only treats the outer few thousands of an inch of the piece but can make things wear a lot longer. If you are wanting to heat treat larger item like tubers, you would need to have a large furnace to place the entire peice in the heat. Heat to a high temp then quench the peice in either water or oil depending on what temper you are looking to acheive. The prob with this is the peice has to be heated to very high temps and the brazing will melt before you get to the right temp.
