Tube Help
 
I decided I am going to try and build a tuber. I have the torch and tubing. But i think i may have bought the wrong flux and wire.

Flux:
At lowes, not the sterling stuff but other stuff
Wire:
At lowes says it is for metal but is solder
Tell me if it will work cause it hasnt for me...

if it comes in lke 1/8" diameter rods... your gonna have to use an oxy-acetlyene torch... but if you get harris safty silv... you can use map gas

The solder you bought is probably meant to be used for electrical work, and it probably will not hold up well under certain stresses that crawling will put on a chassis. just my .02"thumbsup"

BTW I used MAPP and 1/8 rod and it worked just fine. I even ran out of MAPP at one time and switched to propane. heat is heat as long as you give it enough time. I even saw a guy a while back, and I mean way bake some years use a small mirco butane torch, but MAPP and rod will work. other guys on this site use the same stuff.

ya sorry.. i for got to add a part... i meant that you can use it.. but it takes a bit foe the rod to melt...

yeah, i am using the rods, but my frame looks really bad so i think i am going to start over, i will post pics soon, BE WARNED it is very bad and not proportioned!!!!! :P
