Default metric thread pitch

Hey guys,
I googled this earlier but didn't find what I needed.
Can anybody tell me what the standard equivalent of an M2 screw/bolt would be?
Thanks,
Tom

Do you mean what standard screw would thread into a M2 threaded hole?

If so, a 2mm x .4 thread has a thread pitch of 63.5 threads per inch and a diameter of about .0787".
A #1-64 standard screw has a thread pitch of 64 threads per inch and a diameter of 0.073". I've never tried it but it might work.

Nah, I'm just looking to see which ones are roughly the same size since standards seem to be cheaper than metric stuff. Although at $2.96 for 100 I guess I should STFU and just get the m2's!!

Tightwad.

I use 2-56 and 2mm, they are pretty close with the 2-56 being just a little bigger, about 0.086" diameter.

Sounds interesting. I like scale stuff that doesn't use those stupid, too big 3mm screws.
