| Need help finding an stl file for slw hub spacer
Outside of rc cars, I'm borderline stupid electronically ... I just went to put my wheels on and they won't fit over my beef patties. A larger hub won't help since the backside of my wheel is making contact with the hub in a manner which prevents it from seating, so I need some SLW hub spacers (1/8" ish thick disc with 6 lug holes and 1 center hub hole, they get sandwiched between the wheel and SLW hub.) Like these: https://www.rpphobby.com/ProductDeta...A1240&CartID=2 I'll end up ordering some, but I just got my RPP order today and was really hoping to run my car this weekend. A friend of mine has a 3d printer and said he could print them for me if I could get him an STL or VRML file (I have no idea what that means.) Can anyone here point me towards something like that? I'm kind of surprised we don't have a dedicated sub forum for stuff like this (we don't have one, do we?) |

There are a few threads that discuss 3-D printing in general but whenever I go back to search for them I find them pretty hard to find. Most of what I see on here is mixed into other builds vs a repository of info. As for the STL file, check this out and see if your friend can work with modifying it. Can your friend create and edit these files. I typically use fusion 360 for creating new files / projects. I hope this helps at least at least gets you moving in the right direction. Good luck. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2201304 |

I made up some spacers a long while back. I'll dig them up and share them. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4761180 3.15mm 4.15mm and 5.15mm SLW hub spacers EDIT: I added a few more, 1.2mm 2.2mm and 10mm that can be cut down to a specific thickness on your slicer Last edited by HumboldtEF; 02-13-2021 at 07:34 PM. |

No problem For some reason I though these were Bully 2 specific but I double checked and they were SLW. I edited my post above, theres a few more sizes: 1.2mm 2.2mm and a 10mm version that can be cut down to a specific thickness on your slicer. I wouldn't recommend using the full 10mm spacer, just seems like its pushing it a bit much. | ||
