Default tips for bending titanium

I'm looking at putting a bend in my TI links and I was wondering if there were any tips that will help. I friend mentioned that heat might help, but he wasn't sure.

Thanks

I know they heat titanium lips on wheels to turn em multicolored so I'd say heat won't hurt em an should help w bending.

Just bend it...

you will need to exert a little more force on it but that is it. There will also be a slight bit of spring back so you will have to take it slow To get them precise.

Don't use heat!

Bend them with the power of your beard.

In that case Scatterbrains is the master tube bender. I might be able to bend a toothpick compared to him being able to bend titanium. His beard is the size of a zip code.

That's funny! I usually just hit something really hard. Of course, controlling the bend is a little dicey. I usually end up having to try with new parts.

Seriously, if you use heat, apply it carefully. The heating is not the problem. It is cooling once complete that can cause you headaches. Cooling too fast can make it brittle.
