So the airplane guys have those nice field boxes. Has any one made or buy something that is dedicated to take to crawling events?
Was thinking along the lines of tools parts charger batteries controller in the box and the crawler in the other.
What are you guys using?

Found a carpenter's tool bag at WM that will hold a crawler, radio, charger, etc. Has a shoulder strap so I can carry it like a messenger bag. Or murse, whatever you want to call it.

see a lot of guys using thies... Your crawler sits nice in the bottom and you can keep the needed tools for any on site repair.

If I am parking near the rocks I just take the top of it, if I have to hike to the rocks I'll take the whole thing and stap my craller on top, beats having to carry everything.

this one, but where it is yellow, mine is metal... plenty of room in the top box for spare parts, smaller boxes, batteries, ect. the bottom is big enough to carry my crawler and my buggy... makes going out simple. and having everything right at hand is a good thing.

this year i am thinking about a couple 12v batteries in the bottom to use my charger away from the truck/house.

ive seen a few guys *cough john rob holmes cough* bring a whole storage tote! but i just bring my craftsman tool box

I use a big azz coleman cooler, the kind that has wheels and a pull handle. I can get 2 tool totes, charger, spare tires and a comp rig inside of it. It's helpful that it's water proof, in case I toss it in the bed of the pick up truck and it starts to rain.

Here's what I use. It works for my needs. I just carry my rig by the axle. I have this equipped for my my nitro truck and my crawlers. The only dislike that I have is it catches alot of grass and debris and has no protection from the rain.

Be sure to check out my field charging set-up. I use a couple of 6v sealed lead acid batteries to charge my batts in the field if I am away from a car or truck.

Hi,

This is my first post. I use a Plano tackle box i got a Bass Pro shops. It holds pretty much all my r/c tools & screws. It's pretty awesome, i thought i'd share. I'm extremely proud of a new set of Wiha hex drivers i got off amazon. Here it is, with all the open / close shots. It's even got a little engraved nameplate (not shown) you can send away for a few dollars.

Looks like a nice truck, but I'd probably go with a 1-ton Dodge rig for my "would be" tool box. What do you actually use for a toolbox? I use this one, a Plano 737; it serves double duty for my crawlers and nitro helicopters:

Could always get some cheap luggage with the wheels on it. Shouldnt be to hard to modify some beefy tires on it!

Or you could use a golf bag cart. The kind that collapses. Should be fairly easy

My woman found this at a garage sale, 3 bucks! It's made by Contico. I had to beef up the clasp assemblies, but it is deep enough to hold two rigs, and has a good size tray to hold stuff.
