| Brazing Help
Ok so i want to make bumpers for my SCX10 by brazing. the only problem is i dont know what to get. Im not rich, so could someone show me what to buy? links would be appreciated. Thanks

You didn't even try searching... or even reading first, did you? If you had, you would have seen this thread, which was one of the top two threads in the Tools & Procedures section when you started your new thread on the same subject. Lesson learned? I hope so. |

Everything you need is in the video. On a budget replace the Smith with a mapp torch.

In the first seconds of the video, it gives you a grocery list. Just substitute a MAPP Gas Torch for the first 2 items. |

I'm right there with you on the brazing thing. I'd love to get into it, but honestly, I don't have the time or patience right now. I think I'm going to stick to buying my tube accessories from those who know howw to do it right already!!!

1. Mapp gas bottle & torch head 2. Tubing cutter 3. carbide cutting bits & reinforced cutoff wheels for dremel 4. hacksaw 5. Metal (brake line, steel tube stock etc) 6. Pre fluxed brazing rods Thats what I've got... pretty much the basics you need to get started. |
