I've been using this model for a couple years...registers up to 11 pounds:

http://www.amazon.com/Salter-Glass-E.../dp/B000XS31LO

I believe it's a disco'd model now, but it's sturdy and accurate.

There are many out there, just be sure to pick one up that will read as high as you'll ever need it to go.

That's where I got mine. The wifey gets coupons in the mail all the time and I think one was for 20% off. It ended up costing like $16 for the "biggest loser" scale. It weighs up to 6.6 pounds and has worked great for my crawlers.

I use a newer version of the amazon one but I see a ton of guys use the harbor freight one. Lots of guys for racing use 4 from bed bath and beyond... One under each tire.
